About Me
With over 5+ years working as a government contractor and an active Top Secret Security Clearance SCI CI Polygraph, I have gained considerable knowledge and skills throughout my career, which are heavily applicable to User Experience. I now feel that it is the right time to transition into a field where I can continue to grow, and apply my skillset and inquisitive nature. My professional experience in both non-profits and government contracting, have allowed me to gain critical skills that are highly applicable to UX as well as a unique perspective.
Background & Experience
During my time in nonprofit organizations, I took on a variety of roles to include the following:
- Conducting heuristic and competitive analyses
- Generating mockups
- Presenting deliverables to senior staff
This ultimately resulted in:
- An improved user experience for the SfN online store
- Successful launch of the online scientific journal, eNeuro.
As a background investigator I honed in on skills ranging from:
- Subject interviews
- Collecting and interpreting qualitative data
- Providing time-sensitive deliverables to government clients in direct report
As a Management and Program Analyst I have further excelled at:
- Providing weekly briefings across key stakeholders in multiple government divisions in addition to other talking points, summaries and other official documents in order to gain buy in.
